National Conference on Bamboo and Medicinal Plants was organized at the Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar on 20th November 2025. The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Forest and Environment Minister, Shri Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia, Govt of Odisha in the august presence of Shri Satyabrata Sahu, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, FE&CC Department, Shri Suresh Pant, IFS, PCCF & HoFF, Dr. K. Murugesan, IFS, Project Director, OFSDP. The conference was organized by Odisha Bamboo Development Agency (OBDA) and State Medicinal Plant Board (SMPB) in collaboration with OFSDS under the aegis of the Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Odisha. The conference brought together eminent policymakers, forest officials, technical institutions, industry leaders, and community representatives to deliberate on strengthening the bamboo and medicinal plant sectors in the state.
