JICA Supplemental Survey for Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (Phase II)

The Odisha Forest and Environment Department (OFD) implemented Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP-I) during 2006 2015 for sustainable forest management through promotion of Joint Forest Management (JFM) and poverty alleviation of forest dependent people. Drawing on the lessons learned from the project implementation in 14 Forest/ Wildlife Divisions, Odisha Forest and Environment Department has proposed OFSDP - Phase II to achieve sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation and improvement of the livelihoods of the community. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted for JICA Loan assistance. The project has been listed in the rolling plan of the Central Government in February 2016.
